The Story of Gilbert Barber
In light of the recent killing of Jonathan Ferrell (RIP September 14, 2013), a 24 year old former football player with Florida A&M University, the parents of Gilbert Barber likened their experience to “deja vu,” due to the eery similarities between Ferrell’s case and their son’s. In a 10 minute interview, Jessie Barber discusses the details of her son’s case and shares what she feels must be done in order to put an end to police brutality.
